MF135 Perkins Gas Carb Kit

No number on my carburetor - it has 2 11/16" C to C bolts. It has started leaking down, so I need a kit. Too many choices! It has the shutoff solenoid, but no other identification that I can find. Anyone here got the correct kit the first time? I'd replace it, but the vendors are far too proud of new ones.

Buy an aftermarket kit and take your chances.

Spend the big bucks to buy a genuine OEM kit and take far fewer chances.

No, I did not say "no" chances.

Do you have the Massey Ferguson 135 service manual (1448813M1)? It might help you ID the carb. According to the manual the original carb for the AG3.152 Perkins was the Zenith 267 KX9 (MF # 517099M91) equipped with electric solenoid. The manufacturer's name is usually stamped or cast into carb bodies, somewhere on them, unless someone has put something for an aftermarket one on it already. First you should at least check the carb over and see if it is a Zenith. If it is search Zenith 267 JX9 and you can find info and diagrams on line to compare to your carb. The research will increase you chances of getting the right kit for it.
