Off topic 1966 mustang brakes....

All,

My second attempt at posting this....

I want to change a 1966 Mustang front drums to disc brakes, 4 bolt pattern and keep the original wheel and tire combination. ANy leads are welcome. I cannot find any solutions without changing wheels or bolt pattern. thanks in advance.

One possible solution is to buy the 5 bolt rotor kit and add 3 more holes to fit your 4 bolt wheels. It is done but not sure about Mustangs.

That era of Mustangs, the 6 cylinder models had 4 lug wheels.

The V8 had 5 lug.

That was just the tip of the iceberg! The entire car was different!

If you have a a 4 lug, it would have been, or still is a 6. The 6 suspension was minimal and not desirable is why it is hard to find aftermarket parts. I've never tried, but I suspect 5 lug would not just bolt on without more modifications.

I dont know of any aftermarket kits but I would think there would be some.
Might look into mustang 2 , maverick or Granada brakes.

A donor maverick or grenada would be cheapest but I don't know if your wheels would have the clearance needed for the calipers. You might have to change wheels for the clearance but your tires will work on those wheels.
