replace fan belt on JD 2155

Need to replace fan belt JD 2155 serial L02155F718287. Do the 4 bolts on the hydraulic pump drive shaft coupler have to be removed, and coupler loosened from pump shaft? If so how to access? A childs hands or arm could not reach. No practical access from right side between frame, engine and radiator, ditto from left, or from below. No access from cavity where hydraulic pump housed forward of the cavity where coupler/crank pullys are. Note the bolts appear to be round head Allen type not hex head. Cannot see to confirm Allen type or size. Does the radiator need to be removed to access coupling, coupling bolts? If so [er, WOW!] as it would still be a reach to access...

Please outline/describe steps required to remove and replace belt. Shop Manual no assistance. Also do you have correct belt and upper and lower hoses for sale. Please advise. Email [email protected] Thank you

IIRC one removes the 4 cap screws circled in green then slide coupling & cushion out to allow for belt replacement.

Do as Jim said but you need to turn the fork piece going to the pump, then you can side the front half of the coupler out.

Guru and Matthies: Thank you for your guidance. Very helpful. Access is a problem, please see Paul2155 initial post. It appears the radiator needs to be removed. Yes? Continued advice is appreciated.

You could always cut it out and install a link belt. If you do take it apart, tie a second belt in there out of the
way for the next time. That's what we did with our backhoes when I was still working.
