Knocked a little triticale down was going to try baling it but

Wow, that would be a nice feeling... I just started cutting my 2nd crop on monday.
The triple mix will go down this weekend.. And have to cut some customer stuff this weekend and next week. Well we hope thats how it works out. I noticed guys cutting grain samples today.. so the straw race will begin before long..

Why you got your boots off??

I will not do another idiot cube unless the labor situation changes a whole to what it is around here

No they aren’t and the ones that are here they want way more than I can pay and then you still have to load em on a truck by hand and feed by hand in the winter and without a hay shed the top 3 tiers turn to.a black rotten mess

I need to do some straw to I only get one cut with no water . Boots off because it’s hotter than the hubs of hell and I like to relax when I’m on the tractor . Hopefully you can get your hay put up and miss the rain

I'm going to try to start on my 2nd cutting today if they get the road open so I don't have to drive about 10 miles to get to the field that is about 3 miles from me. They fixed a slip and finished paving yesterday. The road is still closed but I may be able to talk them into letting me drive through (the pavement is about a hundred feet long). Keith

I started doing hay like that, taking my boots off, eventually progressing to sandals. And after pants started wearing through the knees, cut them off to shorts. Now I wear shorts and sandals unless I am spreading manure, bare feet in rubber boots at milking time.
Not having knotter problems was once of the best parts of going to net wrap round bales, and they turn water pretty good too.

I'd be as nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs if I did not have on good work boots. I'd worry about busting a toe or something cutting or burning me, or stepping in a mess. And I could not be comfortable in shorts-I always bust my shins or have to walk thru tall briars or something. My pants always wore thru above the knees below the pockets. Mark.

Round bales are best to store without much storage loss They are probably my favorite of all bales

NO NO NO NOT THE SN*W WORD... 20 degrees less would be nice tho... its coming they started killin spuds up her by me over a week ago... so fall is on its way.. I dont care how hot it is.. I put my boots on in the morning and they come off at night.. Shorts are for swimming and I hate water that is deeper then my knees.. Lots of fluids (water and gatoraid) and when done stacking nothing is better then a cold barley pop..
