What is it worth?

It is not mine. I know someone who is
wanting to sell it. I may buy it but I do
not want to give too much for it.

You may well be the ONLY person who is interested in buying that antique. Of course the junk man will buy it by the pound so scrap price sets the bottom end. I've "given too much" many times. It only hurts for a few minutes. gobble

Does it have thw wheel weight for the right front and tail wheel? Need them to hold in line. Do nice work and don't take much power. JD or IHC?

I've paid $50 for similar items. Not for use, just display. Fifty bucks rusting in the yard.

When you try to determine its selling price just ask yourself what you would want for it if you were the seller. Or how bad do you want it. Or where would you find another one. That buying and selling is a two way street. It should be worth to you as a buyer what you would want for it if you were the seller.

But does it have the weights? 4 segements for the right wheel, 8 segements for the tail wheel and they are heavy, probably weigh as much as complete machinr without the weights. Had a JD years ago and found out will not work without the weights.ulled with a JD AR tractor.

A few years ago when I was at a machinery consignment sale here in northwest Iowa one of these was in line to be sold.
The machinery jockey I was standing next to was proclaiming these are rare today, you don't see them anymore. I told him on the 13 years I ran with the wheat harvest I saw plenty of them sitting in field corners way out in the middle of nowhere half buried in windblown sand. He was a loud windy type of a guy and was trying to convince me they are rare everywhere. He said he has been all over the US shipping machinery and has seen very few of them. He was probably calling it rare so he could mark up the price on it after he bought it. Here in northwest Iowa they are indeed rare but they are not rare everywhere.

I’d love to find but about 3 times that big ain’t any left here the scrap / meth heads got em when scrap hit 250 a ton used to be one in every corner of old pastures and old farm yard
