Got a spare deck for my F-2000 a month ago. It was missing the belt guards.

So I took 2 of these.

You sure do good work, was glad to meet you and hope the deck works out. I may have to get you to go to making those covers.. LOL They go missing on most of the decks that old.

They look great.
Looks like you have them elevated so that the bottom edges do not touch the deck??
Thats a good thing, I have a 72" Gravely deck where the similar belt covers edge rides on the deck.
There are a couple of spots where the edge of the covers has worn clear thru the deck metal.
Gotta do some welding and modification to the covers this fall.

Nice job on the guards. I brought a F2100 Kubota at a landscaper auction over ten years ago. I brought it cheap on a whim and the guards were just sitting loose on the deck. He told me it worked allot better being able to keep the area clean without them so they never used them. I never used them either and I had to agree with him. I could blow the grass after every mow job and I just now had to replace the belt for the first time since I brought it. I've been working on a trade in with it on a new Kubota zero turn so I went and dug them out today to make sure I still had them. I did stick to my rule of never getting out of the seat with the mower running.

My original deck, the guards are bolted on and one small guard left of the gear box pops off for cleaning. These are held on with toggle latches and come off in seconds. I like them on the front deck machines to keep sticks an limbs out of the belts when tucking under trees and bushes.

MI, but outside Detroit and Flint. These were knocked down in the winter 3 years ago and the Road Commission replaced them but left the old ones in the ditch.

Bought that new in 08. Had Texaco undercoating applied the day after I got it. It only has 62,000 miles on it, but gets driven year round in SE MI.

Thanks Jerry. No question it will work out. As usual, my timing was off. Deck was still in the back of my truck a week ago when one of the deflectors under my current deck broke loose. I had to fix it to keep mowing. I think I will throw some paint on this, then swap and do some welding on the original. Keep me in mind if you decide to sell that snow plow.

Just yesterday when I got done mowing I beat the deflector where the clippings come out back into shape with a BFH. There are six of those signs just up the road from me, so I just need to grab one and take it to my buddy who has a brake!

Looks great.
It is amazing what can be done with a hammer and an anvil.
I built this stainless steel distributor a few years ago and went to a friends house and used a small break.
Had to come home and use my 4 pound hammer and my anvil to finish.

I will do that , never snowed the first time last year after I went to the trouble of rigging it up. Planed on taking the money you paid me for the deck and ordering a windshield for the cab but never pulled the trigger , now spent the money.
