John Deere R clutch

I'm having trouble pulling the clutch fork out of the gear reduction housing. I have rebuilt A & B model tractors, is the R different or do I use more force. I don't want to break anything

Same as the JD-A or B--- Four bolt out and pull pin. Fork housing must be glued on.. Gasket or no gasket. tap on housing, has to come loss. Will pull straight out.. When you go together with gasket, glue gasket to housing and grease the other side, will seal and easy off...

Did you take the fuel lines off so that you can get a straight pull on the fork housing, with lines out of the way should pull straight out.
