Afternoon: Just got a call about a MF 1030, 1983??, it suddenly puts out black smoke, no power,
owner shut it down, changed the fuel filter, took out the air filter for testing, but it is very very,
fussy about starting. Most likely it has the ISEKI engine? but I am not on site to confirm.
He cracked the injector lines and has fuel spurts, but not real strong looking or amount...
During inspection and worrying he checked the lub oil level in the injector pump, and got 2 table spoons worth out of the drain, should be a number of ounces??
We are going with internal pump failure due to lack of lubrication..would/could you add to his
suspicions or anything extra he should have the shop look at when they get it?
good thing is he kept his stick on the ice and not over the "hood"
