Dont you love the waiting to see if it will all work.... then the terror when you first start heading down a windrow listening to everything... every squeak, clunk, thump... then you hear it tie.. off the tractor and run back to look.. yup they all tied.. back on the tractor... it takes at least a dozen bales before you get comfortable with the fact its working. Then you grab the next gear... that's about the time the shear pin goes and it all starts all over again...

Oh whats the yellow one in front of the 3020.... Looks Ford??

Central lube on the knotter but probably going to replace the lines with zerks because the pump is bad and fiat no longer supports it

Nope it didn’t that’s why it was parked the new Holland mechanics couldn’t Figure out the and it took me a set of needles to figure it out

That doesn’t even make a big square bale, it’s a medium size?

They sure didn’t spare any iron on it tho, monster!

I enjoy the updates with it.

How does the chain work for hitch support? Is it hard to set the lever so it does support, but not strain the hydraulics all the time?

Paul

Not a problem set the lever and it stays put it’s a John Deere so they hydraulics aren’t under strain all the time . New Holland call it a big baler and it’s definitely not a small baler it will make 750 pound bales it weighs over 9700 pounds with no hay in it

Had to come make an adjustment to the twine finger to bring it closer to the needle slot do it can pick up the twine . Broke one shear bolt got shoving it to fast . The breaking of shear pins every time the needles cycled is solved now some minor tweaking on the knotters themselves and we should make cubes smashed my hand with the sledge hammer bending the rod but other than that things look good

I baled about 250 acres of millet with a 3X3 New Holand baler for my boss. Don't remember the model number. I had to fix a bunch of stuff on it. The stuffer box stopped working and the pick up would jam up so tight that it would take hours to clear the jam. The baler had been twisted by someone before me and the door would jam up. I had to cut about a half inch off of One corner of the door. Then it wouldn't tie. I went thru all the adjustments in the book. The needles weren't timed right. The stripper arms had to be removed and bent. I sharpened the knifes with some HF diamond stones. Put a new arm on the bale length arm. It would have cost him more than the cost of a new baler if he had had new holland do the work. Go thru all the steps in the book and it will work like a new baler. Good luck!
