Cutting With The 730

Gave the old 730 Case some exercise again today. Cutting along the bison fence and around the edges of bushes in the hay field where poplars are trying to take over. Barely made the five mile drive home limping along on a flat wheel. One of the solid rubber tires on the back of the mower lost a big chunk of rubber so I could not drive any speed without it bouncing bad. Guess its time for new wheels.

(quoted from post at 20:21:40 08/01/20) Nice looking machine
Thanks, it does a nice job but boy does it steer heavy with the manual steering and a 7 foot blade hanging on the front end. I can see in this picture the missing piece of rubber on the mower wheel. The solid rubber tire started to come apart and had a real flat spot on the way home on the road. It rode so rough I had to keep my speed way down. Needs a new wheel.

Looking Good,, I sold Farm King products for years all Great equipment,, I sold at least one of those 620 pull-types also,, first year production,, I really liked the mower and was planning on keeping it for the farm but a guy came in and paid what I asked,, should have replaced it Glad you made it back ok

(quoted from post at 09:26:48 08/02/20) Mower does a nice job.
Thanks. It works surprisingly well considering the original blades are 28 years old. I think I sharpened them once in that time and did not see much advantage to it so never bothered again. After hitting rocks, logs, etc. it does not stay sharp for long.
