Hello all, I have 63 Ford 4000 with a front end loader. Before I emptied the rear end hydraulic fluid and replaced it the loader was working fine.
Today I've replaced all the fluids my question is does the front end loader work off the hydraulic fluid from the rear end? Is there a separate reservoir for the front end loader hydraulic?
It's a 770 front end loader.
Thanks for all the help guys.

It depends on how your loader is plumbed.
If it has a front hydraulic pump that's
run off the front of the crankshaft it
will usually have a seperate oil
reservoir. On the Fords the main frame of
the loader is often the reservoir.
If no front pump then it is usually run
off the tractor's onboard hydrauluc pump
and the reservoir is in the rear end.
