Gator 4x2

I have an older JD Gator 4x2. I think the starter & alternative are the same. Does any one know where I can get a wiring diagram for this Gator?

Tony, unless you have a “Turf” gator the starter and charging are separate, 4x2’s have a charging coil/mag under the flywheel just like a older lawnmower did. A add-on alternator kit was available for them, I have one on mine, you’d know it If yours had it, it’s very visible.
Double check which you have, a plain 4x2, a turf gator, or a Th or TS gator (the side of the bed will show) and shoot me an email il

Here are pictures of the model and side view. I’ve been told by JD parts men that it is an older Gator. And that "4x2" is the model

Have one at work identical to yours. You can buy alternator kit through Deere and add it on. It’s not a terrible job to do but I don’t remember the price

Thanks all. Especially JoeM. Got it fixed. Broke wire between solenoid & regulator. Easy to find when I knew where to look.
