Re: JD Pulling the NH68 Baler

There was someone on here that was selling some a lot cheaper than that but I cant find it now. Do you have enough to make a pattern, maybe someone here has one. Good luck Gordy in MN

I don’t know the dimensions of the wood slides, but some folks will order one plunger slide from New Holland, have it copied 4 times and return the
wood slide and pay the restocking fee. I’m not an advocate of this in general, but $175 for a short piece of wood is outrageous.

I have no videos of the rebuild, but if you search NH68, you will find my threads.

For the thickness can't a guy just set the plunger in the center of the chamber? Then measure the clearance on the sides for the side ones this would equate to the thickness of the piece for each side. Then do the same for the top and bottom. Then just use the old one for length and width. IF need to be perfect a telescoping gauge would give you figures down to the thousandth's though I doubt it needs to be quite that accurate.
