WHY do you think you need to throw parts at it?

Most likely, the points will be fine after you burnish them by repeatedly drawing a clean strip of paper "cardstock" through them, followed by a shot of electrical contact cleaner to clean up the debris (with the points "open"), allow to "air dry" before cranking/checking for spark.

As to condenser, they DO fail, but the chances are about a million to one that it hasn't. And most replacement ones nowadays are of lesser quality than the one you have.

Set of points are over $50.00 for that one . It was used on MM. I have a just like new
Mag from an Allis C. E-mail if interested. Thanks.

I cleaned the points and sprayed with electro cleaner and still no spark. the tractor has sat for several years before i bought it. i have found out that its kind of thrown together with many different parts on it

My grandfather had an Allis Chalmers
model C, 1947 if I remember righ. It had
a F-B magneto on it. He always claimed
that if you peed behind the back tire
before you started it, the mag would be
damp enough that it wouldn't start. I
don't know about that, but I do know if
there was a heavy dew, you'd have to take
the cap off & let the mag dry for a while
before it would start.

I have not rebuilt one in several years but I have bought several point and condenser packages at Tractor Supply. I run my one C every day. For the last 12 years it has
never been under a roof or had a hood over the engine and starts instantly. I start it with a jump & carry. I love the magneto's for my old gas Allis tractors.
