Stone of a Veterans Grave

In my dad's case it should read stones of a Veterans Grave. When the national cemetery put up dad's marker they got his name wrong so they had to make it over. Then when my mother died and was buried in the same grave they took the marker and put her info on the back side only they got the dates wrong so they had to start over and make another stone so dad's had three markers.

Interesting.

We just got a letter from the VA a couple days ago that my wife and I are pre-registered to be buried at the Omaha National Cemetery. My wife met with our preferred mortician about it yesterday.

One of my wife's brothers is buried at Omaha National Cemetery and his widow intends to be. Another of my wife's brothers and his wife intend to be.

Reminds me of the saying "A veteran is someone who wrote a check, payable to The United States of America, for an amount up to and including his life.
