Looking for decent pair of tractor tires

Looking for a decent pair of 18.4 34 tires close to north central Illinois. Don't need anything special just need something to get hay season finished this year. I also need a rim. It is a 6 rail power adjust for an allis chalmers for the same size tires Im posting about. Anyone know of where to get a cheap rim or know of any salvage yards around north central Illinois?

Best bet for cheap tires to get you by would be a pair of combine wheels with tires.

I have a good used rim for $150 but shipping from VA would probably get expensive.

There is a huge salvage yard at Colfax Ia., east of DesMoines.I hear they have mountains of used
tires.

My luck with used tractor tires is there's
never any close by or they're so close to
new price they're not worth it. You'll run
the tires off your truck looking for a set
that was advertised as being in excellent
shape only to show up and find garbage.
With tires I believe the best thing is
just bite the bullet and buy new. That's
my opinion anyway.

St Louis craigslist - a used pair for $650. Also listing for one new one for $650. Pretty good drive for you though.
