new holland 489.

did a couple rounds with the versatile 400 swather to make sure i would not get stuck with tractor.

That’s a pretty nice mowing setup you’ve got there . I had a 12 foot new Holland like that I can’t remember the model number now it was pretty wore out when I got it but it still cut hay .

It's been so dry here that I don't know if we'll get a 2nd cutting or not, Sure hope we do, my first cutting didn't fill everywhere I usually put it. I sold all my first cutting of squares so I hope second cutting is at least enough to cut and bale

That appears to be very stemmy, which is what I don't like about timothy. As it gets past its prime it seems to just make a bigger and bigger stem whereas orchard grass despite the stem turning brown it still keeps pushing up a lot of leaf. For a timothy stand though, yours looks excellent for this time of year
