Am getting close to finishing the rehab on my Ford 4000. I sold some parts the other day so have a little dough to buy a decent seat for it.
Not looking for one of those $100 jobs you slap on a tractor to get it sold.
Would spend $300? for one.
It Has to be Blue.
Any suggestions?

Me too.

Old sofa bed was worn out and Son and granddaughter were visiting from Montana in January while I was having my gall bladder removed so I decided that I must buy a new sofa bed. Long story.

I hate buying furniture because I know little about such and always pay too much for the wrong stuff.

When in the house watching TV, etc., I would sit in the corner of the old (good but worn out) sofa bed with a pillow between me and the arm rest. Doing so made my back hurt.

Went furniture shopping and bought a new (not so good but new) sofa bed to replace old one.

Visit went well but new sofa bed hurts my back more than did old sofa bed while watching riveting TV, so decided to buy matching (while I could still get matching) chair so as to position chair such that I could watch TV, etc., directly rather than obliquely while sitting in corner of sofa bed. Was really raped by furniture store on chair because by this time they knew too much about why I was buying it but ordered it anyway.

After receiving new chair and positioning it, realized that I now needed an end table for lamp, clicker, phone, etc., so back to furniture store. Raped again but did get decent end table for about twice what it should have cost.

New chair hurts my back more so than does new or old sofa bed.

I give up, and will live with it.

Did I mention that I hate buying furniture?

Go for lumbar support / back support, you may have to make it yourself; makes all the difference.

Thanks fellas.
It doesn't look like there's much out there - especially in Blue..
Like it's a $100 job or nothing.
Maybe I'll call my CNH dealer and see what they recommend.

If you still have the old seat shell hy capacity may be able recover it. I had to do that it was the only way to get an original looking replacement for case tractor. They do a wide variety of different styles and colors they might have what you want. The ones they have done for me have been good quality the 15 year old o e is starting g to crack but it spends much time out in the sun, I'm not disappointed

This post was on here last month, don't know for sure but he might be able to help you;

Post subject: creating or recreating seat tops / covers
Good evening to all from near London Ontario Canada.
I am just starting up a small business to re store the [canvas, vinyl, leather covering] on antique farm equipment seats/ tractor seats.
I think we have the ""bugs"" worked out of our sewing equipment. Presently I have done some by hand sewing for myself and others.
If interested contact me via email.

Buy a low back truck seat with the low air platform for it. You could either use the air on it or skip and just bolt the seat on. Would be better than most tractor seats. Can even get arm rests and high back if you want. With a small air tank like a larger pipe with caps and fitting could have air ride seat.

The original style suspension seats are still available thru A&I for a little over $200, NH charged me $280 for the pan and cushion last time I purchased one.
Material started cracking after 5 years and the foam inside got wet, soaked my behind a couple of times and I replaced it with one of the cheap seats.
