farm book, tractor book ,or agriculture book?

The 100 year history of combines was great, which Ken did part of it. He is also the parts man at my local CASEIH
dealership. The axial combine story has a great development history. I have a 1460 that has 9800 hours on it. Great
machines.

I really like the history of the Nebraska tests from (I think) 1950 thru 1975. Credited to Lester Larsen from the lab. Each year has a little story about what was new or innovative that year, then pictures and data on the models tested. Itsan interesting read and real good reference material.

Full Steam Ahead - 150 years of JI Case as also a good book.

Fifty Years of Disruptive Innovations 1065-1915 It is about Kinze from his start up. I usually only read parts of books, but this one I could not put down. BTW I have a large tractor book collection and this one really stands out.

If you like books on history and farming, not power farming in this case, "Ten Acres Enough" is a good read if you can find a copy.

A fictional novel written in 1931 and based in China .... The Good Earth (by Pearl S. Buck) ..... no tractors but a person's lust for land and wealth with him and his family, well you won't find anything better in my opinion. Here's a quote from Wiki .....

"The Good Earth is a novel by Pearl S. Buck published in 1931 that dramatizes family life in a Chinese village in the early 20th century. It is the first book in her House of Earth trilogy, continued in Sons (1932) and A House Divided (1935)".

"The Illustrated History of the Union Stock Yards Chicago, Ill." by W. Jos. Grand. Copyright 1896

My copy is in rough condition but the stories are great.
