Ferguson TO30 Steering fluid level

Does anyone know how to tell if the steering box fluid is at the proper level? Is there a mark, or is it up to the threads on the screw-in plug?

I fill My TO20 up to the threads on the fill plug.

Get as much in as you can, up to the level plug.

Those are notorious for leaking around the pittman arm seals.

A common fix is to fill it with grade 0 simi-fluid grease. It comes in a cartridge, pump it in with a grease gun from the bottom until it comes out the level hole.
