looking for lunch while i was flipping hay today. pretty fast they are swoops down and has lunch in hand.

its a hawk. they have very sharp eyes and can spot a mouse from very high up. and yes he had lunch.

I was swathing hay one day and several small birds were dive bombing a hawk. He took it for so long then apparently he had had enough. On the next round there was the hawk sitting on a fence post having lunch(little bird was on the menu).

I had to brake hard to keep from hitting this guy who spotted lunch directly in front of me.

It is my buddy "Red" the red tailed hawk who has lived at this field for years. I took this pic next time around.
