To the Field of Weeds post, I guess I''m a turnip farmer

We mowed the field today with for the Ford 4110 since the Ford 6610 is still waiting for a clutch and the New Holland 489 haybine. This was the first time we mowed this field in 15 years. Before the field got the brush hog since there the cows kept it down. This spring we plowed and seeded this field. The field came up mostly weedy. While mowing, the mower started to bang and we found a turnip (I think). It banged a few times and I'm assuming that there's more turnip because the mower was quiet after that. Got a nice laugh out of it. In the end the Ford 501 sickle mower got used near the walls and trees .

Thanks for the pics! What did you seed it to? Depending on what you seeded theres a good chance your new seeding will now outgrow the weeds and have a nice hay field. That's been my experience anyway

I think we set the brillion seeder all the way. After we did first cut all of the weeds seem to have come in on our main field.
