John Deere L model questions

i just purchased an L and was looking into the pulley for it and just wondering what i can run off it and if it is worth it to buy. Also wondering what attachments i can put/use on this tractor thanks .
 


When I was in high school there was a girl in the class ahead of me who was raised on a dairy farm. They didn't milk very many and all of the tractor work including making hay was done with a JD L. He had all of the implements.
 
There was also a split pulley that bolted around the drive shaft to run mounted implements like a side mount sickle mower. It was small, around three inches as I recall.
 
But the pulley mounted on left side of tractor on L & LA and not right side as most other tractors were.
 
thanks I kind of was up in the air. a sickle mower sounds nice i don't really need a saw or anything . Id like to maybe put a rake or-low. I also need the hose parts etc from air cleaner to carb only thing missing on tractor beside serial tag.

Check for a hose at your local auto parts store, especially if you have an independent. I have needed to adapt out of the ordinary hoses, and all it takes is any old hose of the correct inside diameter, and if it needs to make a tight bend you can take a hose with that bend molded into it in it and cut off what you don't need. At my local independent shop they tell me to go back in the hose aisle and look.
