638 round baler

My 638 plugged up on short grass hay around inside the pickup area just before it plugged I tried to tie it but my twine arms hit the packed hay and something must of slipped a little bit now the twine arm doesn't travel as far across the bale on the other side it wraps the twine right at the edge of the bale then slips off the bale completely leaving a ten foot tail of twine I think the twine arm slipped somewhere where it's set any suggestions

Sometimes not as easy done as said on a new Holland but
your the twine arm breakaway has probably broken away and
needs reset

I run a 630, if it's the same as far as I know the electric motor turns chain and moves arm, nothing to break away I know of, the limit of travel at end of bale are adjustable.

I've hung my twine arm up, it just stops, remove obstruction and back to normal.

You control the arm with switch so you manually apply twine anyways?
