Having trubles finding a Starter

Hello
I have having trouble finding a starter that will work for my Super MTA. I need a 4 bolt mount, 6v, positive ground starter for a Super MTA. Anyone know were I can get one

They have them listed here at YT

Just take your old one the a rebuilder and fix yours(if you have the old one) In the olden times I
would have said check the Yellow Pages. Try a local parts store, someone will know a local rebuilder.

Thanks for your help
I am sure that is is a 4 bolt mount.
The SN is missing on the starter so I dont know what kit to get.
The problem is that it cranks very slowly and is pulling a lot of power from the battery. The battery cables are getting very hot after a little cranking. I used jumper cables to go around the wires.

This discussion made me so curious that I walked 300 yards to the barn to look at the starter. I own a Super MTA that My uncle bought new in Lexington Ky. It
has a three bolt starter. Maybe some are assuming there is another bolt down underneath. For it to have a four bolt starter it would have to have a different
casting for the starter to bolt to. Maybe it is a tractor made from other models?? Ellis

Need a picture of this starter, illustrated with the bolts you are counting if you can.

I too have never seen a "4 bolt" starter. The 3 bolt starters came along with the Stage II Super M in 1953, continued through the Super MTA, 400, and 450. None had 4 bolt starters.

You have to be counting the wrong bolts, or you just have something that's totally out of this world.

This is a correct 3 bolt starter for a Super MTA, and the bolts that count:

Did the problem happen suddenly? If so, maybe something else is now overloading the starter.

As some one else said, post a picture of "those 4 bolts" otherwise no one will believe you.

You are right. I counted 3 bolts then assumed that there was one beyond it. I made this post last night and I counted this morning. Thanks to everyone that tried to help. I assume that you guys know what they say about assuming.
