is it possible to replace the sleeves in a super m "in frame" and how much of a job is it ?? looks like t could be a booger.

nothing to it with the proper tools and sleeve puller --- before putting the sleeve puller in place take a stick welder and weld 3 or 4 beads up and down in the sleeve - top to bottom - this will shrink the sleeve a bit and they will come right out! don't burn thru the sleeve and it doesn't have to be a pretty bead of weld !

If you have a good sleeve puller, don't waste your time welding inside the sleeves, you'll have them out before you finish the welding job.

Most of the SM engines have thin wall sleeves now, around 1/16 thick so if not a good welder I wouldn't try it. If you do on a in frame job you need to really protect other engine parts when doing.

If you got a clean place to do it, it's a piece of cake, but dont weld in there to get the sleeve out, this isnt a Detroit Diesel 2 cycle piece of junk, on them u had to sometimes !
