Tip for mice problem in the cab

I was having a mouse problem in the cab of an old truck that is parked in a machine shed. I was told to use AXE Body deodorant spray. Is strong and mice don’t like it.
I sprayed the cab down everywhere. Smelled good! We shall see.
 
No matter where I parked my old dump truck, I had mice. Started setting two traps in the cab, and checking them regularly. 30 some later, it stopped. Haven't had any since.
 
If there was a snake in the cab of my truck, I would never know about mice, cause I wouldn't go near it. I'll take care of the mice myself, thank you!!
 
How did you keep trapping the mice I can catch about 5 or 6 and then they get to smart and won’t go near a trap again for awhile about the time they’ve reproduced enough to double the 6 I had originally caught
