I posted a while back about the wire to my ceiling fan being broken in my vaulted ceiling.
I was looking for ideas on what to do to fix it.
One person suggested I put a new junction box in the ceiling and cover it with a smoke detector.
The war department approved your idea so that is what I did.
First I cut a hole in the ceiling where I thought the wire would be.
Working the wire back and forth I was able to get the staple holding it loose enough to pull the wire threw.
Spliced the two wires together and put a smoke detector over box.
I do need to get a larger detector to cover the box or a box plate.
Going to wash and paint the ceiling before I put the fan back up.
Thank for the ideas.
I feel this is safe enough I can sleep in comfort.
