Did ya ever see a tanker trailer with a pup back up? Friend who is a gas transport driver says it can be done, but you don't want to have to go backwards very far.

Yah, I don't see anything tying that motorcycle down! Takes more corner room than a long nose double sleeper Kenworth pulling a 53 foot trailer!

I hope that they don't get on bumpy roads. Motorcycle kick stands aren't made to take much abuse.

Probably snow birds finally going north for the short summer. Keep watching in a month or two and they will probably be going the other way.

A neighbor of mine used to take off down the road with his ton truck pulling a trailer loaded with a 2 row mounted picker on an M farmall. Two corn wagons were hooked behind the trailer and a 30 foot corn elevator was hooked to the last wagon !

The YT Department ofVehicle Load Enforcement was right behind them as pictured below: The Apprehension and Impoundment Team.

That is how they get to Sturgis from the west coast. Then park the camper at Deadwood and put on their leathers and bandana for the short ride to the motorcycle rally. We were camped at Deadwood one year when they all rolled in with bikes on trailers.

It took a fair amount of time to assemble that monstrosity, which means somebody put some thought into it. I can imagine the guy convincing himself what a great idea it is. "This is GONNA work! You're a genius! Nobody else would think to do this!"

You wouldn't go to this much trouble if you were only going a short distance, and apparently at least one fuel stop was required. So figure this is for at least an 800 mile trip. Does he really think he can make the trip without encountering at least one patrolman? Gonna be expensive getting all those vehicles out of the impound lot.

Jon if you say you saw this rig and took this picture I will believe you.

But I,m thinking you must have come across this picture on the internet.
No way even a stupid lazy cop could let that rig pass them and not stop it.
That is either photoshop or every cop he passed needs to be fired.

Roundabouts have become popular around here, and have gotten fairly small/ tight to where semi drivers complain and end up just driving through the grass around.

Wonder how that rig handles a roundabout.

If that were a current picture, most folk have to go through a drive through to get fast food these days, I struggled to get through an Arby’s drive through with a 16 foot car trailer behind, that rig won’t fit anywhere for height and cornering.

In Tx as in other states two tows behind the tow vehicle is legal. See it all the time. Hard to see the hitch behind the RV to connect to the black truck but the pic quality not that great either. Photo shop maybe.

I know this "dude" who used to (Does NOT anymore) what may be called "triple tow" and was passed by several cops and never stopped over different years in different states, but take care when pulling to get gas !!!!!!!!!!! but later he found a better way. Don't anyone have a calf now, I'm NOT recommending or advising it or admitting to anything lol, Im ONLY saying........

Not enough truck - even a diesel dually would not be enough. And it sad to think anyone would not see an unsafe rig there. The last thing maybe even doing any braking might be the camper. Mark.

A coworker of mine used to pull a camper with his truck (bumper pull) and his bass boat also bumper pull behind it. He got caught by an Indiana State Trouper on way home Sunday night. Trouper let him drop one trailer take it home and return for other one. He opted to take the boat home and return for the camper. He was a little tired on Monday.
If the first trailer had been a 5th wheel or gooseneck, would have been legal in Indiana. He also had a CDL.

In Michigan, you can pull a second trailer behind your fifth wheel, IF you have a "recreational double" endorsement or a CDL with appropriate endorsement. Can't pull a second trailer behind a bumper pull and you can't pull a third trailer.

Nothing to do with DOT, that's plain old State Vehicle and Traffic Law stuff right there..

Correct. That is not a DOT issue, just a traffic law issue. Small fine and he would go on down the road in my state.

Yeah, because there's absolutely, positively nothing wrong with that rig as pictured. You YTDOT thugs just infringing on this poor guy's FREEDOM!

In my state he'd get a handful of tickets and he wouldn't be going anywhere with more than one trailer. Just the way it is. My state frowns on crazy stunts like that...unless they see it a way to generate tax revenue. Then it's okey-dokey. That's why I was never big on weight enforcement. A truck was only "safe" hauling, say, 80,000 lbs. Then, if the guy bought an overweight permit, his truck was magically "safe" for 102K, 107K, maybe 120K if he had enough axles. Total scam IMO. The bridges in NY, a lot of them, weren't designed for 60K, much less 100K and the years of being saturated with road salt doesn't help them.

Whew! Rant over. That stuff used to bother me.
