Haven't lost an eye, but nearly burned the house down!

Setting off fireworks in the driveway, probably 10-12 years old. One of those 5 shot fire ball things on a block of wood, the first one blew out the side, turned it over, it fired the other 4 straight into the attached carport!

Inside the carport was a pile of old lumber, saved scraps from some long ago project, along with a pile of leaves that had accumulated in and under the old lumber. Perfect place for a fire, and it was on fire!!!

I was out there by myself, no time to go string hoses together. So I attack the pile by hand, ripping and grabbing, stomping the burning leaves as they came out...

I finally got it all out, I was scared to death! Bleeding from grabbing nails and splinters, that was one of the scariest moments of my life! Not sure if I was more afraid of burning the house down or the trouble I was going to be in afterward!

I sure wouldn't tell that to the wife, she just might remember that when she gets mad at you cause you bought another tractor LOL
