4440 hydraulic line

The main hydraulic line (metal) from the main pump going back has blown on my 4440, how do I get to the front connection to remove it? It looks too tight to get a wrench around it.

Have you removed the plate(s) under the radiator and over the pump?

Once that's done you should be able to get it loose with a crow's foot wrench, or, even better, a crow's foot tubing wrench, if there's enough room around the fitting.

Some guys break 'em loose first with a punch or a chisel and a hammer, or an air hammer, that may loosen the fitting in the pump as well, requiring a new O-ring there.

It takes an 1 1/4 wrench, take the web plate from under the radiator and should get out with regular wrench. There should be a clamp half way back on the inside of the frame rail make sure that is there, may also have a 3/8 bolt missing from the junction block where it disconnects at the split.
