Trying to clean up some of the junk my brother left me. I found some Detroit Diesel Allision stuff, most is no good. What an injection tube? It is made of copper. it has a part number 5138647? Stan

The injector goes threw the water jacket.
The tube is to seal the water jacket and put in the injector.
Worth about $25 each new in the box.

That would be a big mistake. If they are in the box or in good shape. There is a market for them.

I just looked them up. New in the box $28.40 each. So you are looking at a few bucks.

The boxes are gone, and the copper is tarnished from being rained on. I guess they can still be used, they are not beat up just dirty. what happens to them to make them needing to be replaced? Stan

From what I have seen. They can stick to the injectors. Don't seal good or just wear out. I would clean them up. Check with a local Detroit shop.
