NH 271 spare parts

I have an old NH 271 baler and I'm wondering what if any spare parts I should have on hand. It's my only baler and I don't want to get stuck with hay on the ground. I presently have spare sheer bolts and a spare needle. Anything else I should get?

We had a 271 when I was a kid and never
remember anything going wrong with it
beside sear bolts from slugs of wet hay(
before tedders). Wish I could say the same
for my 570

I always seem to break feed teeth. Always hood to have knotter parts.
I'm selling mine and probably going to regret it.

I suppose if you had a thrower on it you would have mentioned it. I would only add some various chain links in case any drive chains break.

I have a 273 and the only thing that actually broke was one of the feed finger holders. The constant dropping back down of the fingers cause it to fatigue. The little
springs that snap the fingers back down don't last long so get a few extras.

I keep the following spare parts: PTO shaft u-joints, pick up teeth, old main drive chain, assorted nuts
and bolts, flywheel shear bolts, anything I replaced that wasn’t 100% no good or broken. I have 2 balers,
so actually have an entire spare machine ready to pinch hit. I have kept 2 balers for last 20 years. The
hay on the ground is worth far more than my spare baler cost me.
