I’m gonna try this again. My ford 800 has a 4 cylinder diesel. I can’t tell the year because the number are wore off and tag gone for most part. I’ve looked on line and all the 800s I see are gas ? Is it possible I have a 801? 871 ? Because it’s diesel ? I can’t find a picture of just an 800 that’s diesel. Someone had put 800 sucker on it when I got it so just alittle confused on what model it really is. I also noticed the 800 don’t have the air cleaner that sticks up as high as the stack on mine. Any help appreciated thanks !

Someone has changed either the engine or the sheet metal (or both).

You can determine the model number of the tractor in which the transmission was originally installed from the numbers stamped into the bell housing above the starter.

John Deere 50, it is VERY common for the "numbers to get wore off" from battery acid leaking onto the area of the bell housing where they are stamped. Your air cleaner is one that was used with the diesels. There is not a lot of difference outside of the engine between an 800 and an 801.
