Belled or tapered duals

If you had a picture of what belled dual bands loom like could you share it with me. I have 2 sets of duals for my versatile but I need a machine shop to make the bands so they fit. I’ve never seen belled dual bands so I don’t know what to ask them to do.

Tell them one end of the bell needs to be a certain diameter,
and the other end of the bell needs to be a different diameter.
They also need to know how wide/tall the band needs to be.
They are basicly making a cone. A good sheet metal shop should be able to
fix you up. Might even be a good idea to take the wheels (if possible)
along for the shop to see. I like show and tell!!
Are both wheels going to be the same height when you put them on?

Josh, I believe we've talked before about this.

The "belled" dual adapters that I am familiar with from "back in the day" were stretched and formed from a rolled and welded steel band, NOT something that the average machine shop could easily duplicate, although they could probably be made in functional form by a different process/design.

I wish I had a closer-up photo of my old "145" that had them, or could find a photo on the 'net, but NO luck!

I still think you'd be better off to find a tractor boneyard that has some "originals" even if the freight hurts more than you'd like.

Yes based on what I’ve read the 18.4x34 will match up to a 23.1x30 height wise. I do know the owner of a very good machine fabricating shop we have here in tomah. I might just have them roll a smaller diameter ring and figure out a way to weld it to the current bands. Maybe use a ring to match up the two sizes like step down rims have.

You need a ring to fit in the 30" rim and a ring to fit in the 34" rim. The rings need to be about 3" wide, as they slide in inside the bead. They need to be however far apart you want them to be, then fill in between.

The red is where the dual spacer should fit on the rim.
