My husband has a mf 255 and he wants a loader and a
bucket for it. Here they are hard to find. I found one off of a
mf 275 will this fit? I also seen a post that said any make of
loader and bucket could be used? Any info would be great as
id hate to buy it for him and find out it doesn’t work.
Thanks

Looking at the pictures I find online, comparing the 2 tractors, I would say it will be a direct fit.

There could be differences though, but they are real close. If he is handy with a welder it can be done.

Might post this down on the Massey Ferguson board below for reassurance.

Do you have the model of the loader? MF232 or MF236 loaders are made for it Make sure you get all the brackets and hardware. More than likely if it came off a 275 is should fit the 255.

I believe the 255 is an upgraded 165 which is an upgraded 65. A friend had a 255 and it sure looked like a 65 with fancy sheet metal. I have a 65 with a Freeman brand loader and I have a BushHog brand loader, which looks a lot like a Freeman, that came off 65 awaiting installation. My point is there should be a number of loaders out there to fit your 255. The associated hydraulics to operate the loader can be an issue. I operate mine from the internal pump with the MF remote adopter valve set plumbed into a separate duel control valve setup. Not the best but it works, an external front pump would be better. The guys on the MF board are absolutely brilliant when it comes to Masseys, so I would ask there.
