JD model B SN question

On the main case. Early unstyled ones are on the flywheel side looking at the flywheel to the upper left. Later ones are on the belt pulley side on top below where the magneto is.

Thanks. I don't know much about the Model B. Got any tips for getting it to run. My first move is to replace the needle valve, check the float and clean the Carb. I will also flush the tank

Just curious on your reasons to immediately tear into carb? How long has tractor been sitting? When
did it last run? Is there spark? If not, there is no reason to do carb. What about compression? Same
thing. No compression won’t run with rebuilt carb. My thoughts.

I got two super MTAs up and running by starting with the fuel and air intake. That way I can get that out of the list of stuff that could be broken. If I know it has air and fuel I can move on to other areas that could be causing it to not run. Also this Carb was found off the the trator for a unknown amount of time. (my friend got it from his grandpa like that) I don't know how long it has been sitting. I'll start there unless if you got a better sejection.

(I'm new to getting old tractors up and running. Got one of the SMTA up and running by my self and other other I got a profantional to help with the wiring)
