Any idea what this thing (septic vacuum) is worth?

We bought it years ago to keep our barn parlour floor drain
septic tank cleaned out. It’s a Lely 1000 gallon vacuum tanker.
It spews some oil but other than that and there’s no pto shield
it works pretty good. The hose was replaced about 4 years
ago and I replaced the slip fitting on the tank. I posted it
yesterday for $2900 (CDN) and got an offer for $1000 this
morning. I didn’t reply yet but what is a reasonable price for
this thing? I have no idea how old it is either.

That looks just like the liquid manure spreader that my neighbors had for awhile. I used it a little. You draft out of the lagoon instead of pumping into the spreader with a regular manure pump. I can't see for sure but it appears to have a spreader plate at the top rear. It enables the small farm to draw the liquid from their lagoon prior to going in with a loader and using a vee-box type. Theirs was, IIRC from an eastern European country

Your price is OK. I would put a little car wax on it in one spot to see if it could be made to look 30 years newer. Jim

Haha yes it needs to be washed,I was moving it yesterday and just thought I’d snap a pic before I put it away

Afternoon: Forgive me for this...but one has to ask just what their s**t is worth ?
If I had to get rid of it, your price is very good, wait until that offer gets "backed up" :)
don't put your hockey stick in the drain....
will call you next weekend.

Haha sounds good Phil! I actually had a call from Newbrunswick today ,guy says he has an uncle on the island that can come look at it. Dad always said, s**t In one hand want in the other ,see which one fills up the quickest lol. We didn’t talk price yet so that’s a good sign.!
