Bought a skidsteer

Hi, my Ih 3200 A skidsteer lit on fire about 2 weeks ago, by the time the fire department arrived it was toast, and yes I did try to put it out with a fire extinguisher. Anyway my dad talked to the insurance company and it turned out it was covered, so heres my new (to me) skidsteer.
It's a 2001 New Holland ls170. Someone disconnected the foot controls and rigged up hand instead, I dont mind expect that the auxiliary hydraulics were disconnected in the process, but oh well I'll find a way to hook them up.
And no this was not an insurance scam, I was not even aware that my old skidsteer had insurance on it. Put simply I got lucky, because if it didn't have insurance I'd be up a creek.

On the left side of the engine block there is a coolant drain petcock. They are made of aluminum and will fail. Ours did on our LX565. Yours may have been replaced, but worth checking.

Hmm? I wonder if it is hooked up, the right foot pedal is doesn't move and the left does. I assumed it was just the way they disconnected them now I will have to look into that. Thanks.

thats a nice looking machine. skidders are handier than pockets on a shirt! if you are looking for other attachments check out stout mfg. i have a 66 inch brush grapple for mine, well made very happy.
poke here

I just rolled 4100 hours on a 170 I bought new. Maybe the best or second best piece of construction equipment I ever bought. Been an excellent machine with many operators and sometimes rough usage at my place
