Help identifying what engine is in a international 986

I was wondering if someone could help me identify which engine is in my international 986 from the engine serial number. this is the engine serial number 675153ci-k

The International 986 and Australian 986B had an International 6 cylinder diesel with 436 cubic inches of displacement installed at
the factory. Made between 1976 and 1981. See Nebraska Test #1255 for more info.

John , Bill is right but be aware that you can find an IH 466 or IH 414 that also have the very same
outward appearance of the 436 all the same 400 series engine. Engine model is stamped in a boss
on the engine along with engine serial number .

Thank you. I was at a tractor place looking for a radiator and they told me that I would need to know if it was a d358 or a d360 engine in order to get the right radiator. And i was wondering if there is a way to find out which one it is based on the engine serial number.

A 986 will have the 436 engine.AFIK,the only engine ever used in the 986. There may be a tractor serial number break for the radiator. Or they might have used the same radiator during the entire production.

He must have been thinking of an 886 that was the engines in them
