The company sale went off without a hitch, bank transferred funds, house and farm are all paid off. I will assume a director position with the new company to help guide them into my markets as I start to taper off. I hope to work another 5 years.
I lost my farming partner and best friend in December, it kind of took the wind out of my farmings spirit. I contracted out my crop management to a local family operation that has two mid 30s boys and older parents. So far it has been going well and I like working with them. I get to do what I want to do. I am getting the itch to buy another farm if ones shows up near me.
