OT 2009 RAm 3500

I have a problem with my 2009 ram 3500, going down the road with the ac on high, in a few minutes the blower fan slows down and or stops, research shows it is the ignition switch, it heats up and chars the contacts, sometimes going down a bumpy road fan will kick into high gear on its own. My question is should I put a Mopar switch in it, or an aftermarket switch. Wondering if any of you have had this problem and what you did to remedy it. Thanks for your reply

sk Fiat.....or if you wait a bit, ask Peugeot.

That's a common problem.

One thing more important than the brand switch, the melted harness plug needs to be repaired, or it will quickly fail again.

If you are handy with electrical, you can add a relay to get the blower load off the ignition switch.

Chances are the blower motor is showing some wear and pulling too many amps.

Keeping it off high will also help.
