Anyone else?

To answer two questions about the water...#1 Where is the spring located? Follow PA 350 South from Philipsburg PA about 10 miles . About halfway down the mountain there is a pull off on the left side. You can't miss it. #2. What is in the water that makes it taste so good? Answer: It isn't what is in it but what is not in it. It doesn't have anything in it but hydrogen and oxygen . Water comes from Sandy Ridge .

water running out of a rockpile has a lot more than H2O in it probably has enough limestone to rust your pipes forever

I think you are mistaken on that, spring water usually has a lot of minerals, that is where the taste comes from, some vendors add minerals back to bottled water to make it taste like spring water.

I agree with you - water with nothing in it is the same as distilled water and it is very boring to drink. The trick to good tasting water is minerals but the right minerals. Sulfur and iron are a couple that makes water ugly.

The water is probably fairly soft if it comes out of sand or gravel, I prefer the taste of that versus hard as nails water. My well is in shale below the first layer of limestone, it is fairly soft and good tasting. There must be a little iron in it because it does get the sulphide bacteria in it if I do not shock yearly.
