The tires on the Farmall H are one step from failing and need replaced. I really do not work it anymore and take it for drives and parades, so want tires that do not have huge lug spacing. The Firestones are super expensive, have had good luck with Samson, but not available in that size.

I am going to put 13.6 x 38 on it so the road gear is a little higher.

Carlisle seem a good price, ideas?

The "modern" 13.6-38 tire size would be equal to the "old" 12-38 size that was used when your H was new. H's came with rims that were originally 10" wide while M's came with 11" wide 38" rims. (Info from original owner's manuals for H & M information-I have both.) The recommendation of tire size for an H was 10-38 or 11-38 on the 10" wide rims & for an M was 11-38 or 12-38 on 11 inch wide rims. There is no reason you can't put 13.6's on 10" rims to get a little more height & subsequently more speed if you want to.

I can't find if they still make them but titan had a tire called WHO tractor ride that had a center bar down the middle. Bet they're spendy though, but looks like they are made in Des Moines. Otherwise have you checked American farmer tires they looked decent. No experience with either, just remember from when i was looking.

Orignal tires on the H was 10" and we uped them to 12.4 or equivilent to an 11" tire. Tractor was used for heavy field work as was only tractor Grandpa had and Dad had a 2N Ford. Later when I was starting to drive tractor Dad bought a 38 A John Deere
