M444 bobcat question

I am looking at a m444 bobcat
I posted on here a few weeks ago i just had one more question.
If I put a spear on the front of it will lift and move 4x5 rolls of hay?

Is the machine worth messing with orsave money for a little bit newer machine

I think you would be pushing the limit.

The brochure rates it at 1000 lbs lift. But that is straight up lift at the end of the arms, not extended out as a spear would be.

Hay varies a lot by density and moisture. A wet, dense 4x5 can weigh 1500 lbs!

I own a 444. If it's good dry hay, probably, if you have a spear that will fit the lift points. If it's a bucket mounted spear or the hay is the least bit soggy, probably not. They are a great little machine in their place, but they aren't comparable to a more modern machine.
