I know what tractor I want

I posted a couple days ago about advice on selecting a tractor to replace my 6610. Most of the advice recommended keeping my 6610, which is what I want to get rid of so I can get a cab.

I am down to 2 models, JD 5085M and NH T4.85 Powermax, no longer looking at JD E series. The NH T4.75 caught my attention, but it is 4 inches shorter WB than my 6610 and less HP, so I decided to move up. The T4.85 is a bigger frame, same WB as my 6610 and comes with 12 speed power shuttle versus the 8 speed on the T4.75. The bad news is the JD5085M is 20K more than the T4.85, and there do not seem to be many used T4.85 out there.

I know what I want, now will look for the right one.

i had been looking for a 100 hp cab tractor for a couple years. Really wanted a 6 series Deere. But I stumbled onto a M100X Kubota with the loader, a 2012 model with 700 hours. No DEF, no regen or particulate filter. New condition. Got it for $45K and I am very happy with it so far. It has cast wheels and rim guard in rear tires, and it seems to be a real beast. Plenty heavy for my needs.

I can tell you one thing that I have learned. Once you have had a tractor in the say 70hp power range, you can never be happy with anything smaller. You can always but the same, or go up, but no satisfaction to be had going down. Same with 4 wheel drive. If you have had a 4wd tractor, a 2wd tractor just seems helpless, unless the tractor is just used for making hay. Or where traction isn?t a major requirement.

Here's a JD 6320 MFWD FEL(100 hp) for just under $40 K. @ Providence Equipment LLC
PS: the ad states they ship nationwide.

The newer 2WD drive tractors are helpless because of the lack of weight, when a 70HP tractor doesn't weigh as much as my AC D15 can't expect much out of it with 70HP size
equipment.

As far as 4wd what you said about tractors I have said often about pickup trucks too, at least in the snowier Northern areas. Once you have a 4wd truck you will never want to go back to 2wd.

Between sickle mowers and two wheel drive tractors it’s a wonder humanity ever made it this far

i had not ask about KUBOTA because you seemed set on the Deer or NH , I assumed maybe we did not have a KUBOTA dealer near by. As the poster said you would love a M series Kubota.
