There have been several posts over the last three weeks about batteries, and Guido would have had something useful to contribute. He has not posted since April 25 (or thereabout) when he was having a light hearted conversation with a couple of other guys and some asshat yelled at him.

I miss his battery advice.

I could never figure out why people will show their worst side in a place like this, there's no reason for it. And sure, all of us could slip up a time or two, it's entirely sad when people get fed up and leave !

Gurss I do not know how to use it because when I go to his profile the email is blank. Was just wondering because we seem to be losing quite a number of folks from here.

There are a majority of good people here, the others are probably pi**ed off most of the time. They'll take an oppurtunity whenever it presents itself to make somebody else feel like they do, misery loves company. Makes me feel bad for them sometimes, tough way to live.

Pretty much whatever anyone posts, someone
has a better answer. Or describes that you
should be doing something you are not. I
wonder if these know it alls behave that
way in normal life. Probably not or they
probably would have a black eye or a
busted lip most of the time.

I've been here like 30 years and seen it all, they come they go, but life goes on despite we may miss some of them.

Hello 1948caseVAI

I have been here for many years, and I think finally have used up most of my vast patience! I had as many as 24 adult students while teaching automotive and marine diesel technology, and there was plenty of patience to help each and everyone of them.
My resume is not known here, so I will post it now.

I am a bumper to bumper mechanic, lead fleet mechanic-specialist.
I have been to the following brands factory engine schools: Detroit diesel: International Harvester, Caterpillar, Cummins.
Freightliner electronically controlled engines which included; Cummins; Detroit Diesel: Caterpillar.

Two year night course on air conditioning and commercial refrigeration school.
Two years night course, stick and heli welding school.

There are a few more certificates of achievements hanging on my wall, from ASE certs to Macs, foundation truck brakes to name a few. Batteries as you can see is just not the only thing I have had the fortune to be exposed to and learn.

I have dealt with ignorance here, hard to teach long distance.
Stupidity?..............?......??..Stupid is as stupid does!

My E-mail is and has been always open. At this point I would probably more apt to call the person with the problem, rather the address it here amongst the couch mechanics. I have actually pointed out the text book where the individual could fine where I got and learned my information to no avail!

Guido.

Thank you to all the those who mentor,
share their experience, and give to those
who dont have a person they can call.

This site has been a great place for me, as
corn fields turn into sub divisions near
me, there are fewer neighbors left that do
this kind of stuff. This place and its
wonderful considerate people have filled
the loneliness of days gone by. Thank you.

Hello 1948caseVAI,

You need to enable your email to receive them through this web site.
Anyone that does should be able to receive them, I did.....

uido's email is open in classic, but not in Modern view.

Guido is a very knowledgable man and I always read his posts.
He and I had a long phone talk sometime back and I really enjoyed talking with him.
I plan on talking with him a lot more.
I try to ignore the idiots on here, but it is hard to do sometimes.
Most folks on here are great and very helpful, but there are a few that I will not read or respond to.
Not worth my time.

I don't always post replies on here. Though I read every day. There are some posters that I don't read their posts just because they always have negative things to say. There are those that I always read because they are knowledgeable and can explain it very well.
There are several that are not posting(they may be still reading) much that I sure miss reading their posts. Some but not all are Old, Aderondak case guy(sp),
Jeffcat,Jdem,and James and Nancy Howell.
I always read John T's posts. Sometimes I don't fully understand all of the electrical stuff but I have learned massive amounts. I really appreciate the knowledge
and willingness to share it. I obviously don't know everything(just ask my wife) but I learn something new about everyday.

I hope some of these guys will come back but it is up to them. I want to thank all of you for your help.

Steven

When I see your name I think wow my name! If you don't mind saying, where are the subdivisions sneaking into the corn fields (general area at least)

My thoughts exactly casecollecter that's why I hardly ever post a question there is always a smart azz answer from somebody.

Jegs you have it right! Way too many people live their short life (100 years = 36500 days) being angry, acting like a tough guy or a know it all. Those types usually aren't happy unless they can ruin someone's day. Don't understand it, never will!

Steven, just because someone has not posted in 3-4 days doesn't mean they don't post anymore.

Understood. Thanx for taking the time to answer.

Steve, you said it really well. I also miss many of the old timers that used to right on here. The two that really stood out in my eyes besides the ones that you listed are JD Seller and Case nutty. Boy I miss some of these guys.

Guido , I feel as You do , We have a lot of Great minds leaving in disgust .. There sure are bumper crop of challenged Genuis's hanging out here these days ,,. Must be a sign of the times ,,,. Unfortunately it is the wave of the future ,,.We are now harvesting the crop of " Dumbing Down America ".. My Dad fought in W W II. , He would complain " You mean I fought and bled for a idiot like you" ,, and if the guy answered like a smartaz ,, Pop would deck him one.
