Case IH Maxxum 115 The good, The bad, The Ugly

I just saw some CIH Maxxum 115s go for a fairly low price.

It seems they have a list of small iritating problems, but nothing major. Does anyone have any experience with these or know of any major expensive problems? Hope I have not opened a can of worms.

I have owned this one for about 8 years. Great tractor. Have spent very little money on it. A fuel sender and a pto switch and a couple other small things. About 2000 hrs on it and the engine uses no oil. It has the 4x4 power shift trans with reverser. Smooth shifting. This is my planting and spraying tractor.
What price did you see some sell for.

There were three of them and they appeared to be in good shape. One went for $12,500 and the last two went for $13,000 plus auctioneers fees and taxes etc.. I was not there so I did not see or hear them run. I don't believe they had real long hours.

After mulling this over I suspect the tractors were not sold but listed as sold. Even though one of the buyers was an online bidder I have some doubts. This auction company has listed some tractors as sold before only to have the same tractor on auction again at a later auction. I will have to wait until there is another of their auctions to see if these are offered again. I don't see how a company can do this rather than just state minimum price not met.
If they were truely sold my apologies to the auction company.
