Couple of things that are a bit concerning, Dexta's did not have a
decompressor as standard so what engine have you got? A picture would be
nice. Second is that Dexta's have a pre heater in the manifold and a
primer in the fuel tap. You need to heat for around 40 seconds then press
the primer, you will hear a "pop" as the diesel ignites, then you press
the starter. (You may find a small tap on the feed pipe to the manifold
heater, this is normal but make sure it is turned on). Dieseltech is right
about the plungers seizing, sometimes, if you take the side panel off the
injection pump and squirt Automatic Transmission Fluid around the plungers
you may find they free up after a while. I have done this many times over
the years and it works well but you must not be in a hurry.

Stop control is forward for run. Make sure you have bled all the air out
of the pump and you are getting a good flow of diesel out of the pump
bleed screw.

No pictures. But if you're just sending a picture, you have to have some text for it to work. If you look at JonF's daily funny on Talk, notice that there is a period at the upper left corner of the picture.
This is the text he puts in so the picture will post.
