Our jd club was called Friends of john deere. Got a call from corporate to cease and desist using that name because of copyright infringements. So now we are called Friends of Green and I am wearing a Fendt hat.

It?s to bad John Deere hadn?t been sold sold and resold and merged and re-merged like all the other companies so we could use the John Deere name for free isn?t it . I?d really like to see that guy who makes the drawings for heritage iron make some John Deere drawings but he says he can?t

John Deere is loosing a lot of Loyal customers,,their attitude towards us as using customers is getting worse,,huge store mergers with store personal that can care less, high cost of parts prices and things like Frank described,,,makes you want to pitch that favorite Deere hat into the manure spreader..

JD has always aggressively protected their copy rights and trade marks. They even went after kmart or scott's ? for using the color green and yellow on a lawn mower and won.

What should they do? Let everyone that wanted to make and market an item or form an organization using their brand name for their profit do as these please with it? It's copyrighted for a reason.

Yup, if it were your brand and trademark you'd be screaming bloody murder if someone stole it.
